Easy Quiche Recipe





Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 60 minutes

Makes: 4 serves

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1 unbaked Pie Crust
  • 4 Large Eggs
  • 1.2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 cups of add-ins e.g. sauteed onion, spinach, fetta cheese, bacon, sundried tomatoes *see note

How to make this recipe:

  1. Blind bake the pie crust in a 200C preheated oven for 15 minutes, until the crust starts to brown slightly. **
  2. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, salt & pepper until very well combined (you don't want to see any unincorporated egg. 
  3. Add cheese and mix-ins, Mix well. Turn down the oven to 180C, then pour the mixture into the pie crust. Bake for approximately 45 minutes or until the crust is golden and the filling is set ***see note. 

Serving Suggestions: Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables. 
Note: 
* You can mix your own combination of add-ins, as long as they make up 2 cups. 
**Blind baking is where you bake an unfilled pie shell, usually the pie is lined with baking paper and filled with baking beads (or uncooked rice or dried beans) to stop it from rising. 
***You will know the filling is set when it has only a very slight jiggle in the centre.
