Easy Pie Crust





Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Makes: 1 pie crust

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1.5 cups Plain Flour
  • 125 gm Salted Butter, cut into cubes (keep very cold) *See Note
  • 2-4 tbsp Milk

How to make this recipe:

  1. In a mixing bowl add flour 
  2. Cut butter into flour, leaving the butter in pea-sized pieces for a very flaky crust
  3. Add milk little by little and cut through with a knife, the dough is done when it can be gathered together without falling apart. 
  4. Place onto plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. 
  5. When ready to use, break apart and knead until just pliable, then roll out and line a pie plate ** see note

Note: 
*If using unsalted butter, add 1/2 tsp. salt.
**I like to roll out this pastry between two pieces of baking paper. 
*** This makes enough for 1 pie crust, if you need a bottom and top crust, double this recipe.
