Easy Pie Crust
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 1 pie crust
Ingredients you will need:
- 1.5 cups Plain Flour
- 125 gm Salted Butter, cut into cubes (keep very cold) *See Note
- 2-4 tbsp Milk
How to make this recipe:
- In a mixing bowl add flour
- Cut butter into flour, leaving the butter in pea-sized pieces for a very flaky crust
- Add milk little by little and cut through with a knife, the dough is done when it can be gathered together without falling apart.
- Place onto plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- When ready to use, break apart and knead until just pliable, then roll out and line a pie plate ** see note
Note:
*If using unsalted butter, add 1/2 tsp. salt.
**I like to roll out this pastry between two pieces of baking paper.
*** This makes enough for 1 pie crust, if you need a bottom and top crust, double this recipe.
