Chicken Flavoured Rice

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Makes: 4 serves

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1.5 tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 tsp salt *optional

How to make this recipe:

  1. In a saucepan add butter/margarine over medium heat and allow it to melt and become foamy. Be careful not to burn. Place rice into pan and coat well with butter/margarine. 
  2. Add stock and salt (if using), stir and bring to the boil. Once boiling, cover and turn down the heat to low, then allow to cook for 12 minutes. 
  3. Once cooking time is over, turn off the heat and allow to sit covered for 20 minutes. Then fluff with a fork and serve. 

Serving Suggestions: This works well served with roasts or anywhere else you'd serve rice on the side.
