Chicken Flavoured Rice
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 4 serves
Ingredients you will need:
- 1.5 tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 tsp salt *optional
How to make this recipe:
- In a saucepan add butter/margarine over medium heat and allow it to melt and become foamy. Be careful not to burn. Place rice into pan and coat well with butter/margarine.
- Add stock and salt (if using), stir and bring to the boil. Once boiling, cover and turn down the heat to low, then allow to cook for 12 minutes.
- Once cooking time is over, turn off the heat and allow to sit covered for 20 minutes. Then fluff with a fork and serve.
Serving Suggestions: This works well served with roasts or anywhere else you'd serve rice on the side.
