Homemade Neapolitan Ice Cream - No Churn Recipe
Ice Cream has become so expensive to buy from the supermarket these days. The cheaper ice cream that you can buy often tastes very watery and "good quality" ice cream can be $5-$7 for 500mls. You can make a super creamy Ice Cream at home easily and for very little money. With Valentines day almost upon us, I wanted to show you how you can make this delicious three flavour ice cream that you and your loved ones are sure to love.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: Freeze Overnight
Makes:Approximately 1 Litre
Ingredients you will need:
- 395g can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 600ml Whipping Cream
- 1 tsp. Vanilla Paste / 2 tsp Vanilla Essence
- 1 tsp. Strawberry Essence
- Pink Food Coloring *Optional
- 60g Milk or Dark Chocolate
How to make this recipe:
- Divide sweetened condensed milk into 3 even portions and whip cream to stiff peaks
- Melt chocolate and place into one of the bowls with condensed milk, add vanilla paste to another and strawberry and food colouring in the last bowl. Mix each well until combined.
- Split the whipped cream evenly between each of the three bowls and gently fold together. You want to keep as much air as possible
- In 1.5 litre capacity freezer safe container, pour in each of the three flavors. As the ice cream base should be quite thick, the flavours should lay together without mixing with each other.
- Freeze for 6-8 hours or overnight. Once frozen, serve as you would your favourite icecream!
