Macaroni Cheese

 


  • 300 gm Macaroni Pasta
  • 500 ml Full Cream Milk
  • 3 tbsp. Plain Flour
  • 50 gm Butter
  • 2 tsp. Dijon Mustard
  • 100 gm Cheddar Cheese
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Step 1. Preheat oven to 180 C
Step 2. Cook pasta following package directions. Drain and set aside.
Step 3. In the same pot add milk, flour, butter, mustard, salt and pepper.
Step 4. Stir over medium-low heat until thick, it should come to pudding consistency (don't worry about the small lump of flour, these will smooth out).
Step 5. Remove from heat, stir in cheese and allow to melt.
Step 6. Adjust seasoning and add in cook pasta. Pour into a baking dish and bake for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown on top. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
