6 Ingredient Fried Rice

Makes: 4 serves

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil (or other neutral flavoured oil)
  • 500 gm Chicken Breast Mince
  • 3 large Garlic Cloves, crushed
  • 2 cups frozen Mixed Vegetables
  • 1/2 cup Oyster Sauce
  • 450g package Steamed White Rice
  • A small handful of Thai Basil, roughly chopped *Optional

How to make this recipe:

  1. In a large non-stick pan over medium heat, add vegetable oil and minced chicken breast. As it's cooking, break the chicken mince into small pieces and allow it to become slightly golden and cooked through. 
  2. Add garlic and cook until it becomes fragrant about 1 minute. Then add frozen vegetables. Stir well and allow to thaw and heat through. 
  3. Then add steamed white rice and mix through chicken and vegetables until well combined. Allow rice to heat through, breaking up if needed. Pour over the oyster sauce and mix until well combined and you can no longer see any white rice. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes before removing from heat, stirring regularly to stop the bottom from burning. 
  4. Serve topped with shredded Thai Basil. Enjoy!
