Cheap organisation hall table/storage

I love having a beautiful home (or what I consider beautiful) and constantly strive to ensure that I have a clutter free, organised and beautiful home. Living in a one bedroom apartment with two cats means that being super organised is key. Trust me, It doesn't take much for this tiny apartment to go from home beautiful to how clean is my house.
Cue the cute cat photos,

You can also imagine that there isn't much storage space, so i'm constantly trying to invent it. After 3 years of living here, I finally came up with a great idea to once again make more storage, that looks nice. As someone who lives on a strict budget and is following the Dave Ramsey baby steps, expensive furniture really doesn't make sense. I'm broke remember.
With some cheap furniture from Kmart and a little creative thinking I made this beautiful hall table (with lots of storage) for only $58.00. The cube cabinets were $19.00 a piece and each 2 pack of collapsible cubes were $5.00. I then made some pretty labels on my computer and laminated them (who doesn't love free), this balanced out the dark cubes and also lets people know what the contents of each cube is.
I purchased: 2 x 4 cube units and 4 x Collapsible cubes (2 packs).

I knew what I needed to go in each of the cubes. I desperately needed shoe storage (that wasn't a wonky metal thing at the bottom of my wardrobe), so I dedicate three of the bottom cubes to different shoes types. I then dedicated 1 to party supplies (plastic plates, cups, cutlery and table clothes). The last five cubes hold -
- Party supplies - plastic plates, cups, cutlery, table clothes
- Extra bathroom supplies - hand wash, toothpaste, toilet paper
- Home repairs & emergency - screw drivers, hammer, matches, torches etc.
- Cables & Tech - Phone cables, laptop chargers, mobile modem
- Arts, Crafts and Gift Wrapping
All in all, I think this was very worthwhile project. It was inexpensive and created so much practical storage space, that i desperately needed. Knowing that I can now find what I need, quickly easily brings me so much peace. It also makes me feel inspired, that I can create a beautiful place to live without much money.
If you're interested in what i purchased to make this, I've added the links to the items below.
